Why some teachers are GREAT, while some are...not so.
This is what I told Joel today in Chinese lesson. A short speech about why some teachers are good, and why some are not.Firstly, good teachers keep their class organized. They don't ask for things randomly. They ask for things which they actually need, and remind the students beforehand. They do not suddenly ask for homework or something. Secondly, good teachers are nice, with a degree of fierceness in him/her. If you are too nice, students tend to climb over your head and bully you. Which is definitely not a good thing as the students in the class who actually DO want to study are neglected. With a degree of fierceness the teacher can control the class yet don't make the class hate them. Thirdly, good teachers should have a certain sense of humour, to make jokes that people can comprehend easily so as to keep the class interested. Their classes are usually interesting and the students will find no need to talk as they get absorbed into the teacher's miraculous teaching. So there is actually no point at all in scolding students, as it is not necessary, the problem lies with the teacher. Obviously, bad teachers will have the exact opposite attributes. I find no need to state names as i believe most of you already know who I am talking about. |
