An incident. That happened while I was taking my bus back today.
No compo today. Sorry to anyone who reads my compos. However this will be a very meaningful...I would say...writing.So, on the way back home on my usual 811 bus, I saw an incident that made me jump with shock. I didn't care as all I thought about was the gym after, but still, it shocked me thoroughly. I was dumbfounded at how adults can be so...rude. No, he isn't an adult. He's far older. What did he do? (I think I'll write a short compo after all). < He walked into the bus, left hand free and right hand holding on to a walking stick. His walking posture was weak, yet I can see that he can maintain his balance averagely well. Looking to a familiar bus driver, he happily broke into a chat. After some short sentences with the bus driver, he decided to move in. As he would have difficulty climbing up the stairs, he settled to finding a place in the lower compartment of the bus, containing only four seats. The two at the front were occupied by 2 young ladies, working ladies approximately 20-30 years of age. However, the back 2 seats were not so full. A boy, about Primary age, was sitting at the outer side of the seat. He seemed oblivious to the old man, and I felt angry that he was so inconsiderate. However what happened AFTER that was worse. The old man started to bellow at the young boy. His words were slurred and I did not understand. The boy, afraid, quickly let up the place to the old man. The old man then occupied the two seats, ignoring the boy standing up. < Aren't we supposed to give up seats by ourselves? What kind of person screams at another person just for a seat? It makes me wonder, teachers tell us all to be considerate, but they themselves, are they? A highly questionable topic, but I believe that the reason why some children appear the way they are now, is obviously because of the adults, or the generation before them. To solve a problem, you must solve it at its root. So what if we're learning in school, but then subject to this kind of action at home? So is it adults that should be educated, or us? |
